Our Top Tips from the Boat Shows

The Nautical World in Effervescence

Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show. These events mark the transition between the summer and winter boating seasons. This year, the focus was on yacht size. In Monaco, AHPO drew all eyes as the largest yacht ever exhibited, eclipsing its neighbors in Port Hercule at 115 meters. Likewise, CORAL OCEAN captivated visitors to Cannes with its 70-metre polished hull sparkling in the sunlight.

Exceptional Calibre Assessment

The Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show showcase the extraordinary caliber the marine industry has in store for 2023 and beyond. For ATI YACHTS, these shows are an opportunity for our brokers to explore hundreds of yachts and personally assess the yacht sales and charter market for our customers. Meeting with captains, crews, shipyards and key players in the industry, we have carefully selected a range of yachts and designs to meet our customers’ unique needs. This has also enabled us to organize private yacht tours with our customers, advising them on the choices on display.

Demand for New Yachts

The Cannes and Monaco boat shows have clearly shown that waiting times for new yachts will remain longer than usual. In reality, new yachts are unlikely to be available before 2024, or even 2025. Demand for new yachts reached record levels during the pandemic, and there’s no sign of it abating. However, we have seen some cancellations of construction projects recently, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in a new build.

Pre-Existing Yacht Purchase Opportunities

The good news for pre-owned yacht sales is that our brokers have inspected several fabulous yachts available for purchase right now. If the idea of sailing the Caribbean this winter or the Mediterranean next summer aboard your own superyacht appeals to you, you should know that some superb yachts are looking for owners. We advise you to contact us as soon as possible before they are available, as these yachts are just as suitable for private use as they are for charter.

Ultimate Accessories for Superyachts

The Monaco Yacht Show’s Adventure Area and Innovation Center were packed with exciting designs and nautical toys. We were won over by the range of submarines designed specifically for the nautical sector, enabling anyone to take the controls after just a few weeks’ training. Private submarines offer guests the opportunity to explore new underwater worlds, at depths of 100 to 2,300 meters below the ocean’s surface, thanks to major technological advances.
